The Compact for a Sustainable Ventura County has analyzed the input from the Map-The-Future workshops and will present that information at five Sustainability Summits in April. These Summits are great opportunities to meet with your neighbors and community leaders to discuss scenarios of the future.
Flyers for the Sustainability Summits are available in English (pdf) and Spanish (pdf).
Please feel free to invite your friends, family, and colleagues to join you at one of the five Summits. Customizable invitations are provided to the right on this page.
Maps from the Map-The-Future workshops are available in the Scenarios/Document page. Take a look at the land uses and transportation ideas created by your peers! We are excited to present the results of these workshops in three scenarios at the Sustainability Summits.
A Compact is a voluntary agreement between cities and our county governments in which they agree to work toward a shared long-term vision, common goals, and effective implementation.
So many of the challenges we face as a county simply cannot be addressed by just one or two local governments acting alone. This is the reason for entering into a Compact where all the cities commit together to address a challenge.
